In the LPGA Drive On Championship, a whopping $1.75 Million is set to be won by players. The LPGA Tour is spread across 33 events throughout the year. The 2023 schedule is covering 11 states of the US. To discuss foreign countries, the LPGA Tour will cover Thailand, Singapore, China, France, Scotland, England, Northern Ireland, Canada, Spain, Chinese Taipei, and Japan. The tour returned to America for the first time after the opening tournament in January. LPGA Drive On Championship: Prize Money Breakdown and other details
The prize money is the highest so far in the history of the LPGA Tour. The prize has increased drastically as compared to 2022 by $250,000. The increase in the purse equates with PGA Tour but yet continues to fall short of the Saudi-backed LIV Golf. The winner of the tournament will bag $262,500, and the runner-up will receive $165,070.

LPGA Commissioner, Mollie Marcoux, mentioned: “I think we’re trying to just grow as much as we can possibly grow. I think it is a milestone, not a target. I think it just symbolizes the next level of evolution for the tour. But I don’t think we feel like we’re done. We feel like there’s much more investment to be had in the women’s game and we’re passionate about getting that.”

Who’s in line to take home the title?
The former champion of the LPGA Drive on Championship, Leona Maguire made history in February 2022 by becoming the first Irish woman to win an event on the LPGA Tour. She is currently ranked number 12 in the world and is hoping to be in the defend her title this year.
The second highest-ranked player, Nelly Korda, is also coming in strong this season. She was a runner-up in the HSBC Women’s World Championship earlier in March.
Minjee Lee is on the list of top five players, and it is to be believed that she will be returning in style irrespective of the results of previous tournaments.

Currently ranked at number 7, Henderson, recently won the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions earlier this year, and is winning hearts all over with her stance and game.
