SERVPRO presents the 2023 Chubb Classic. The tournament field was finalized on Tuesday after an 18-hole Qualifier at The Forest Country Club in Ft. Myers. It is the first domestic event of the season 2023 at the PGA TOUR Champions. Matt Gogel, Alan Morin, and Mario Tiziani bagged the top three positions on the leaderboard. They won the card to enter the event. The championship will occur from February 17 to February 19 on Tiburón Golf Club’s Black Course. Naples’ Chubb Classic Championship is the flagship of the PGA Tour Champion event, which will turn 36 this year.

This year Naples will be blessed to have great golfers on its soil. Five golfers who have made the World Golf Hall of Fame this week will take the course. It will include Tiger Woods‘ father-like figure, Fred Couples, and his rival Ernie Els. Retief Goosen, Bernhard Langer, and Sandy Lyle will also be part of the field. Seven previous champions are also in the line to claim the victory. The list includes Lee Janzen, Joe Durant, Scott Parel, and Steve Stricker. The fans will also be happy to see the four-time winner and defending champion Langer, Couples, and Kirk Triplett. Genesis Invitational has already made many headlines; more are on the way.

 It is the third event of this season of golf. The event will feature 78 players taking over the Moroccan host course. This event has no cut and is one of the events that Rory McIlroy prompted about. Golfers will showcase their golfings skills and try to claim victory over three days, from Thursday through Saturday.

Money is not the only thing golfers will play for. The event’s highlight is the field — particularly the tournament champion — competing for significant points, advantages, and rewards. They update the Charles Schwab Cup points list with earnings from this week. However, to qualify for the 2023 Charles Schwab Cup playoffs, every dollar gained equates to one regular season point.

They reward the top five players in the final standings a portion of the $2.1 million bonus pool (all as annuities) at the end of the season in 2023, depending on the points rankings. The PGA Tour Champions does not award Official World Golf Ranking points in its competitions.

Prize money breakdown

The prize money for the 2023 Chubb Classic purse is a whopping $1.8 million. The winner’s share will be $270,000. However, the prize money share is not the standard 15% payout that it used to be. The standards are set according to the PGA Tour Champions’ prize money distribution chart.
