The 2021-22 PGA Tour season is ending as we head towards the second last event before the FedExCup playoffs begin. Hence, the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic is all set to tee off at the Detroit Golf Club. Therefore, golfers will work hard to remain in the top 125 of the FedExCup rankings to make it to the playoffs.

There are prominent names in the field hoping to make the most of it before the playoffs begin. Moreover, the Detroit Golf Club is the host of this event for the fourth time. And the 156 golfers in the field will battle it out for their FedExCup rankings. But who are the favorites to win the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic?

5. Max Homa Even though he missed the cut at the recent 150th Open Championship, Max has been in great form this season. The soon-to-be father has secured two victories this season and currently ranks 11th in the FedExCup standings.

4. Cameron Young – The runner-up finish at St. Andrews recently has given him much-needed confidence. The rookie golfer is 13th in the FedExCup standings and has four second-place finishes and two third-place finishes this season. Therefore, he has been knocking on the doors of victory for a while. 3. Will Zalatoris – Zalatoris has been one of the most consistent golfers this season. He has eight top 10s in 15 starts in 2022. However, sadly, he could never go past the victory line. 2. Tony Finau – After securing two victories this season, Tony Finau has found his game. He has been striking the ball to perfection, and his style of play is what the Detroit Golf Club demands. Hence, Tony is one of the top contenders this week as he ranks 17th in the FedExCup standings.
