The excitement and hype for the 2022 PNC Championship has got the fans excited to watch their favorite golfer compete alongside their family member. With so many Hall of Famers and countless Major winners on the course, let’s take a look at how much prize money is at stake in Orlando.

Formerly known as the Father-Son challenge, the event has gained massive excitement thanks to the compelling competition between Tiger Woods and John Daly. Nonetheless, the players’ lineup also includes some big names such as Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas with their fathers, while 9-time Major winner legend, Gary Player, will compete along with his grandson.
Though dubbed as the father-son challenge, the event will also be contested by Nelly Korda and her father. With the biggest golfers taking the course, how much is the prize money involved?
Prize Money and Winner’s Payout at 2022 PNC Championship
The 2022 PNC Championship will take place on December 17 and end on the very next day. The event will take place at Ritz Carlton Golf Course in Orlando. The purse for the upcoming tournament is set for $1.085 million.

The winner of the Father-son challenge will earn $200,000. It will be more than 18 percent standard payout as per the PGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart. The field in Orlando will be headed by 20 teams, with each team comprising 2 players.

To take part in the tournament, a player must have a Major win, or winners of The Players Championship can also qualify. The two-round event will be played in a scramble. Considering it’s an unofficial event sanctioned by the PGA Tour, the PNC Championship will have no cuts to be made.
