The 40th event of the year 2022 on the European Tour schedule is the Mallorca Golf Open. This year, the field will be headed by Thomas Detry, Ryan Fox, and Brandon Stone, along with many best golfers in the world. The tournament will be held at Son Muntaner Golf Club in Palma, Mallorca, Spain.

The stakes are high to win the prize money, but it is not just the purse that is significant about the event. There are benefits and perks along with points for different events. Along with the prize money, the tournament winner will receive 12 points for Official World Golf Ranking. These points will be based on the field’s strength. The winner gets other benefits and perks. He will enjoy a two-plus season exemption on the European Tour and have a reserved place in other important events.

The full field will offer 2,750 Race to Dubai points. These points on offer are directly related to the event’s purse and quoted in USD-United States dollars. The winner will also get DP World Tour points equal to 460. It will pay the top five players in the Race to Dubai standings after the season from the Race to Dubai bonus pool of €5 million.
Purse and prize money breakdown
The purse set for the 2022 Mallorca Golf Open purse is $2 million. The winner will get the standard 16.67% of the total prize money, equal to $333,330. They set the payout according to the European Tour’s prize money distribution chart.
