The Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open will welcome its fans to the championship after a hiatus of 2 years this weekend. The Open is considered one of the most prestigious events on the calendar and will be played at the Dundonald Links in Scotland.

What is the Total Purse for this year’s Scottish Open?
This year’s Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open will witness a jump in the total purse, now worth up to $2 million. As a result, the winner will be awarded $300,000, which is in line with the standard 15 per cent payout according to the LPGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart.

Added Benefits for the Winner
Apart from the eye-catching prize money, the winner of this year’s Scottish Open will also earn 500 points towards the Race to the CME Globe. The CME Globe Tour Championship is a season-ending tournament wherein the top 60 players in the final standings compete for a prize worth $1.5 million.

Is this the strongest field ever at the Scottish Open?
The contingent at the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open features 22 Major Champions between them. Eight of the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s Rankings will take the field, with current world No.1 Jin Young Ko headlining the list.
Joining Ko in the field will be newly crowned Evian Championship winner, Brooke Henderson.

35-year-old Ryann O’Toole will look to defend her crown which she secured by beating Lydia Ko and Atthaya Thitikul in the 2021 edition held at the Dumbarnie Links in Scotland.
Where is the tournament being held this year?
Dundonald Links will play host to the tournament, four years since South Korean golfer Mi Hyang Lee was crowned champion in 2017. The Kyle Phillips design is a modern yet deceiving links course, with many ‘upturned’ greens at various holes. Renowned as one of the most beautiful golf courses in the country, the deluxe area also covers an unparalleled clubhouse, luxurious lodges and hotel suite accommodation. The Dundonald Links are also nearby to the iconic St. Andrews, which hosts the Men’s Open Championship.

The course will be played across 72 holes after previously being a 54-hole event from 2007 up till 2016.
