The 2022 Amundi Evian Championship has already begun on July 21st, hosted by the Evian Resort Golf Club. This LPGA Tour event will feature players such as Jin Young Ko, Inbee Park, Jeongeun Lee6, and many more. There was some buzz that the Amundi Championship might give the players a hike in their purses as well as the prize money for the event.

The winner’s payout and prize money for the 2022 Amundi Evian Championship
The total prize money amount for the event is $6.5 million, which is an increase of $2 million from last year’s tournament and a $2.4 million raise from 2019. The winner will take home $975,000 this year. The event has a field size of 132 players in total. It is a 32-hole tournament where the top 70 players will be rewarded.
The venue for the 2022 Amundi Evian Championship
The championship is taking place at the Evian Resort Golf Club, which is undeniably one of the most spectacular courses on the globe. It was redesigned in the 1980s by Cabell Robinson and holds views that are worth staring at. The players and the fans can also enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Geneva from the course.

It’s not just the money this time for the players in the Amundi Evian Championship. A lot more than just the prize money is on the line this year, especially for the winner of the event.
The champion of the tournament will receive 600 points for the Race to the CME Globe.

The top 60 players at the end of the PWC will be able to enter the CME Group Tour Championship at the end of the season. And the winner of that event will win $1.5 million along with the title of the Race to the CME Globe. The winner will also get other big benefits, including an exemption on the LPGA Tour for 5 years, as well as a fixed pace in other big tournaments.
