Top players playing for the 2022 Fortinet Championship
The list begins with last year’s winner, Max Homa, who took advantage of Maverick McNealy in the previous tournament. But McNealy is also back this year to show his fans that his skills are still amazing. However, some of the top players in the world have decided to sit this one out to prepare themselves for other events. But there are still some amazing golfers who are participating.
The top-ranked player for the tournament is Hideki Matsuyama who sits at the 16th rank worldwide. Moreover, Cameron Champ, who won the tournament in 2019, will also be joining in this time in hopes to make it to the title again. Corey Conners is also among the players expected to perform well in the championship.
Prize money and winner’s share for the championship
Like most other tournaments, the prize money for this one has also seen a commendable raise. The 2022 Fortinet Championship is set at a purse of $8 million, which is $1 million more than last year. And out of this huge purse, the winner is going to take home $1.44 million along with the title for the championship.

The golfers will not only win the prize money if they make the cut for the tournament. There are also some other benefits for the golfers this year, especially for the winner. The one who manages to win the championship will receive 500 FedEx Cup points at the end of the tournament.

The winner will also get 30 OWGR points after scoring the win. And along with that, he will also get other perks including field berths in future tournaments as well as a two-year plus exemption on the PGA Tour.
