PGA Tour 2022 season makes its next stop at the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open. The event is going to take place at Torrey Pines Golf Course. The tournament is part of the “West Coast swing”, which is the early part of the PGA Tour season.

The field for the tournament includes some of the biggest names in the sport of golf and tee it up at the beautiful Torrey Pines North and South Golf Course.

Featured and Marquee groups for Farmers Insurance Open

The PGA Tour makes its fourth stop of the 2022 season at the Farmers Insurance Open. The total prize money pool for the event this week is $8,400,000. The defending champion is the American professional Patrick Reed, who won the event in 2021 with an overall score of 14 under par and with a five strokes lead. Some notable names are teeing up this week including the World Number One Jon Rahm.

The event will begin on 26th January and will conclude on the 29th of January this week. Marquee groups are the groups in which the top professionals are grouped together and the marquee group for the first round of the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open includes the big-hitting trio: Jon Rahm, Dustin Johnson, and Justin Thomas. The trio tees off at 1:40 PM ET. The marquee group will showcase every shot played by each golfer playing in the group.

The featured groups for round one include Patrick Reed, Marc Leishman, and Phil Mickelson will tee off at 12:30 PM ET. The second featured group includes Hideki Matsuyama, Jason Day, and Joaquin Niemann. They will tee off at 12:20 PM ET.

The marquee group for round two will include Jordan Spieth, Bryson DeChambeau, and Rickie Fowler. They will tee off at 1:40 PM ET. The featured groups for round two will include Hudson Swafford, Xander Schauffele, and Tony Finau. The group will tee off at 12:30 PM ET and the second group includes Daniel Berger, Brooks Koepka, and Max Homa. The trio will tee off at 1:30 PM ET.

Last week PGA Tour winner

Hudson Swafford won the 2022 American Express in emphatic style. He won with an overall score of 23 under par for the tournament and won by a two strokes lead.
