It is also one of the last few golf tournaments of the 2021-2022 season before the final DP World Tour Championship. The Le Golf National, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, France is hosting the event this year, as it has been since 2002.

The total purse of the 72-hole tournament is €3,000,000. Like most DP World Tour events, a cut is made at the Le Golf National GC field after 36-holes. Nonetheless, only the players who finished all four rounds will get to win a part of the total purse.

However, there are some benefits that the event offers just for its winner. The main feature of winning the European Masters event is that the winner will receive 16.67% of the purse, which is the standard amount according to the European Tour’s prize money distribution chart.

Per the prize money distribution chart, the event champion will receive €500,000 from the total purse. He will also get approximately 18.5 Official World Golf Ranking points, with the points being available based on field strength. Moreover, the champion will get a two-plus season exemption on the DP World Tour and berths into other major Tour events.
