The LPGA Tour is currently in Korea to play the third season of the BMW Ladies Championship. The event is being held at the Oak Valley Country Club. Which top players are present on the field for the 2022 BMW Ladies Championship?
The list of the top players on the field includes World No.1, Jin Young Ko, who is back to defend her title in the tournament. Ko was last seen at the CP Women’s Open before she took a well-needed break to recover from her wrist injury. However, she has returned to the field to win her 14th LPGA Tour title this year. Next up on the list is Lydia Ko, who finished T3 the previous year in Korea.

Following her is the US Women’s Open winner, Minjee Lee, along with Atthaya Thittikul and Jennifer Kupcho. Kupcho won the Chevron Championship recently and is willing to display her abilities again in the event. Whereas, World No. 2, Atthaya Thittikul, also stands as a tough competitor for Jin Young Ko in the tournament. However, something that is bothering the fans in the tournament is the absence of Lexi Thompson from the event.

Fans are waiting to see their favorite players win the huge prize money along with the title for the event. The total purse this year for the BMW Ladies Championship is set at $2 million. Ever since the LIV Golf league came into existence, most other tours have increased the prize money for their events.
