Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November of 2021, was a groundbreaking designer and the founder of the Italian luxury label Off-White. From pop-icon Rihanna to NFL star Odell Beckham Jr., many renowned personalities have donned Abloh’s designs in the past. Brooks Koepka is one of the many who harbor a deep love for the late designer’s works.

In 2017, Nike debuted its one-of-a-kind collection in collaboration with Abloh called “The 10,” and a few years down the line, the golfer was seen sporting those unique shoes. When asked about those shoes, the sneakerhead golfer had this to say: “I don’t know how to explain it. It’s Off-White. It’s fashion.”

Back in the day, “mamba mentality” merely started as a hashtag used by late NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Over time, however, it became a philosophy of sorts, serving as an inspiration to people from all walks of life. It even greatly motivated Koepka, especially during his injury-laden days in 2018.

Later, the golfer honored Bryant in his own unique style. In what was one of his most memorable shoe moments, the golfer was seen sporting a pair of Nike Infinity Tour shoes embellished with “MAMBA” on the sides and the soles during the 2020 Genesis Invitational.

Louis Vuitton x Nike Sneakers

Virgil Abloh, who had donned many hats in his lifetime, had also served a key role at the Luxury Fashion House Louis Vuitton. Brooks Koepka’s love for his designs came to the surface once again during the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open.

Taking to Instagram, the golfer posted three images of his Louis Vuitton x Nike sneakers. The golfer had also notably written “Virgil” in the caption. A striking green color, the shoes featured the classic Air Force 1 silhouette and even had the LV monogram minted all over them!

Brooks Knows

Ahead of the 2019 BMW Championship, Brooks Koepka honored another renowned personality with his eye-catching pair of shoes. Playing in a pro-am at the Medinah Country Club, the golfer’s shoes featured a “Brooks Knows” slogan.

The words were a slight twist on Nike’s popular “Bo Knows” campaign, starring the legendary athlete Bo Jackson. Jackson had gained fame for his unprecedented NFL and Major League Baseball heroics. Besides the slogan, the numbers 16 and 34 were also written on the toe tags of Koepka’s shoes. 34 was Jackson’s football number. Meanwhile, 16 was both his baseball number as well as the number of touchdowns he scripted in his illustrious NFL career.

Unmissable yellow shoes at Augusta

Brooks Koepka had a great outing at the 87th edition of the Masters. However, it wasn’t just his second-place finish that became the talk of the town. Golf fans were also enamored by the yellow Nike shoes Koepka had worn throughout the event.

Those shoes were the Nike Air Zoom Infinity Tour NEXT% NRG, and they had been designed with Augusta National in mind. The “Always Fresh” branding on the outer soles of the shoes lent them a unique touch. To make things even better, the insoles also boasted a cool peach colorway! He even wore those shoes during the 2023 PGA Championship, a tournament he eventually went on to win!
