A meeting with Michael Jordan leaves Danielle Kang awestruck
Enjoying her first win in 17 months, Kang seems to be having a wonderful time. The 29-year-old discussed her brief meeting with Jordan, where the six-time NBA champion congratulated her. “He even – he comes up and says hi and says, ‘Hey, DK, you won last week, congrats’. And I’m just staring at him, ‘this is Michael Jordan. It’s so cool,'” Kang explained.

It’s been days since Kang’s win at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, certainly making it a cheerful time for the California native. She ended up meeting Wayne and Janet Gretzky following that, and also celebrated Gretzky’s birthday.

Of course, it is not over for Kang just yet. She has to hone her skills more and surely plans to work with coach Butch Harmon about the same. “I think I’m focused too much on how to guide the ball more so than just hitting it. But I don’t mind it. It is what it is,” she said. “Trying to hit the best shot I can hit, and I hit some really great drives and really bad drives, and I’m OK with that; made some good putts.”
