Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who had recently announced his retirement in this month, is all set to play in the Global T20 Canada in their second edition which will start on July 25. He was earlier announced that he would like to feature in the T20 leagues across the globe.

However, the big-hitter Yuvraj Singh has been selected in the player draft by the Toronto Nationals on Thursday (June 20). Earlier, the news came that he has taken permission from BCCI but it’s not known whether he received it yet or not.

On the other hand, The BCCI doesn’t give permission to the players to take part in the overseas T20 leagues. As Yuvraj announced his retirement alongside mentioned not to take part in the Indian Premier League, it has become easy for him to take part.

“I want to play T20 cricket. At this age I can manage to play some kind of fun cricket. I want to go and enjoy my life. It’s been too stressful just thinking about my international career, performing and big tournaments like the IPL,” the veteran had said in the press conference of his retirement.

Not only Yuvraj Singh, Colin Munro, Kane Williamson, Shakib Al Hasan, Tim Southee, Shoaib Malik, Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Faf du Plessis, JP Duminy etc. will be featured in the tournament.
