Owing to a stream-sniping incident, Twitch recently banned popular streamer and former Overwatch pro xQc. Naturally, there are several opinions floating around the gaming community. Shroud, being one of the biggest Twitch streamers himself, has an interesting opinion about the incident.
In a recent video, he talked about some of the most prominent bans on Twitch, including the likes of xQc and Dr Disrespect.

Despite criticizing xQc for his actions, Shroud didn’t expect that the streamer would have to face a ban because the incident didn’t blow up enough. Regardless, he supports Twitch for banning xQc.
Surprisingly, Shroud feels that a temporary ban benefits the big streamers. A ban gives them undue attention, and they can easily recover from such an incident.
“I did mention in the past though, getting banned really doesn’t mean anything. Dr Disrespect got banned for a month, for streaming in a bathroom..he came back stronger than ever,” said Shroud.“It’s weird how getting banned for a big streamer is actually a best-case scenario.”

“I’m scared to know”- Shroud on knowing the reason behind Dr Disrespect’s ban
Even in the past, Shroud has been vocal about Dr Disrespect’s suspicious permanent ban from Twitch. The reason behind Doc’s ban has been a mystery for over months now, and Shroud feels he’s better off without knowing the reason.
“I’ll be honest, I’m scared to know. The fact that nobody said anything, the fact that he hasn’t said anything, I’m scared to know.”
Also, Shroud addressed the popular rumor that Twitch banned Doc to afford him and Ninja. He outright rejected the claim saying, “Some of these rumors and thought processes are just so lost, they don’t make any sense.”
Fellow Twitch streamers come to xQc’s rescue
As per Shroud, stream-sniping is not a tolerable offense, and Twitch could have permanently banned xQc. However, this is not a unanimous opinion, and fellow streamers like Trainwreck have come forward to defend the banned streamer.

my man xqc catches a ban sniping in a tourney where the creators & organizers had no issue allowing W's to be counted by THEIR snipers, but as soon it threatened a possible L, it became one. If the crowns given by snipers were refused, then & only then would he be in the wrong

Similarly, xQc’s fans have been supporting him and feel that the ban was far from justified.
