After the 2021 defeat, Lewis Hamilton is working hard to lift his eighth title in the upcoming season. In addition, his intensity to push forward amazes his new young teammate at the Brackley stables.
The young British prodigy, George Russell, joined Mercedes for 2022, replacing Valtteri Bottas, who left for Alfa Romeo. The young driver came through the Mercedes Young Driver program. Hence, throughout his career in F1, he has been able to closely witness the brilliance of his fellow British driver.
Now, Russell has the opportunity to work alongside Sir Lewis Hamilton as his teammate. Being a crucial part of Mercedes F1 now more than ever, George has recently spoken about the hard work Hamilton puts in to succeed.

Russell reported on his Mercedes teammate, “My working relationship with Lewis over the past three years hasn’t been as close as it probably was four or five years ago when I was a junior driver.”
The Brit added, “Seeing him work week in week out, it always amazes me how somebody so talented and successful as Lewis continues to strive for more and that is incredibly inspiring and motivational for me as a young driver to try and reach the height Lewis has achieved.”
“What an opportunity for me to be his team-mate, to learn from him and see how he goes about his business,” George Russell also stated. “I think we have a really good relationship between the two of us and we can really work well together to push the team forward.”
