Following months of anticipation, miHoYo has finally announced the livestream event for the upcoming update in Genshin Impact. The community has been waiting for Baal and Inazuma from the past few months, as a majority of leaks had already revealed the Electro Archon and her Electro region.

Even the latest 1.6 update hasn’t been able to satisfy the demands of players. Lack of content is still prevalent in the game, which explains why the 1.7 update might be ground-breaking for Genshin Impact’s future.

Here’s the poster for the Genshin Impact 2.0 livestream:

Up till now, we’ve only seen the Statue of the Seven designs associated with Baal. She is the leader of Inazuma, and naturally, the entire region will contain her statues. However, it is worth noting that Baal’s actual look will be much different from her statue, and the upcoming livestream might reveal both her avatars.

New character banners and their release dates

Another major highlight of the Genshin Impact 2.0 livestream will be the new characters. miHoYo recently revealed Kamisato Ayaka, Yoimiya, and Sayu on its official twitter handle, and will now release the introductory trailers for these characters, and their banners’ release date.

Inazuma will have numerous playable characters like Kujo Sara that will gradually make their way to Genshin Impact. Just like Baal, they will initially appear as NPCs, and will later arrive in limited-time banners. Hence, it is safe to assume that we’ll get a sneak peek to these upcoming playable Inazuma characters too.

miHoYo will host the 2.0 livestream on YouTube as well as Twitch this time. The stream will begin on Genshin Impact’s Twitch channel at 8 AM EST / 5 AM PST. On the flip side, the event will be live on YouTube at 12 AM EST.

It is worth noting that Liu Wei will host the Chinese version of the 2.0 stream. miHoYo’s co-founder has always played an important role in such major events. Fans might remember him from the stream that announced housing system and skins.
