Genshin Impact is an open-world game that lets its users progress at their own pace. The happiest moment for every player is when they get their hands on a five-star character because they are the strongest in the game.

However, they are very rare and are not easily accessible, especially for free-to-play players. Being a Gacha game, miHoYo’s action RPG offers better rewards to heavy spenders. This drawback makes the game a nightmare for many casual players.

The problems behind five-star characters in Genshin Impact

miHoYo offers a very low rate of getting a five-star item, which is 0.67%. As numbers never lie, the probability of getting a five-star is rather low and not all players can get their hands on them. Therefore, players can’t spend their primogems casually in the game and have to think twice before investing in a specific character.

Furthermore, just like any other Gacha game, bigger investments always offer better rewards in Genshin Impact. Unlocking a single character multiple times unlocks constellations and makes them more powerful than ever. However, it is unlikely that free-to-play players can ever unlock several constellations on five-star characters.

Therefore, miHoYo should at least increase the drop rate or make some changes in the pity system to make the game fairer among the users.

Why is a five-star banner not a thing for F2P players?

Other than the very low drop rate of 0.67%, the weapon banner can be a disaster for most players’ primogems. The weapon banner follows almost the same procedure as a limited-time character banner. However, what makes it different from the character banner is that it guarantees a five-star item to the players at their 80th pull.

Another thing that distinguishes it from other banners is that there are two featured items in the banner rather than one. This means that players will randomly get a featured five-star weapon when they get on their pity. As a result, there’s a possibility of players receiving an unwanted weapon multiple times.

Moreover, getting a random weapon means players can be unlucky most of the time. Most of the users can’t their hands on the desired weapon even if they pull it multiple times.
