Genshin Impact is the new sensation in the world of gacha games. Back in September 2020, the game released on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and PC. However, it has been the most successful on mobile and PC, primarily because it’s free to play on these platforms.
Genshin Impact has been a ground-breaking game for Chinese developers. The action RPG has an awe-inspiring open world that replicates some of China’s most beautiful tourist spots. Furthermore, it has helped the native developers gain global recognition as fans of the game from the US and Japan poured in their support heavily.
It is safe to assume that Genshin Impact will continue its glorious run even in 2021. Surprisingly, the game recently collaborated with a Chinese branch of American fast-food restaurant chain, KFC.

Both Diluc and Noelle can be seen serving food in server costumes in a KFC banner. Apparently, the KFC outlet is offering a limited time Diluc bucket, which will provide the customers with a redeem code. Accordingly, using this code in the game will unlock an exclusive KFC themed glider skin for the players.
Genshin Impact finally introducing cosmetics for characters?
Up till now, every character in Genshin Impact has arrived with their own non-customizable outfit. This is the first time that Diluc and Noelle have appeared without their traditional black and white outfits, respectively. The demands for additional cosmetics have been floating around in the community for a long time, and it seems like miHoYo has finally worked on them.

Having said that, it is unlikely that KFC outfits for Noelle and Diluc will be first character skins in the game. Instead, the developers might focus on brining cosmetics that cater to Genshin Impact’s cultural atmosphere and time set.
It will be interesting to see if Genshin Impact’s collaboration with KFC extends to other regions of the world as well. Even though the game is immensely popular in China, it is yet to reach the top in huge gaming markets like Europe. Naturally, such collaborations can be very beneficial in doing so.
