On the final day, Nayel and his gelding grappled with the sixth prize, showcasing their comfort of the impressive grass arena in Calgary. Wife Jenn Gates took to her Instagram to shower love for the hard fought position in the tournament. Never shying away from motivating her husband on account of his finesse, she shared a heartfelt message.

The Instagram story was a share of Evergate Stables’ original Instagram post. She boasted a picture of her fierce show jumper husband saddled on Coronado. She wrote, “Very proud of these two, a hard fought 6th place in the Grand Prix yesterday. Glad to have you both back home with us for a bit.” Clearly, the story implies the tight schedule of the Equine-Equestrian duo. Undoubtedly, they are prepping up for some upcoming big grands prix.

During the duo’s victory gallops in the CSI 5* Friends of the Meadows class, the fastest pair towered fences. The 13-year-old Holsteiner gelding clocked a clear 63.30 secs, outshining Landon and Quidamo. After the phenomenal display at the ‘Continental’ tournament, Nayel and Coronado dreamt big.

Nassar and Coronado’s unbreakable bond

The prolific Holstein gelding Coronado was auctioned in 2013, adding another jewel to the Evergate Stables. Sired by Cassini 1, the elite equestrian couple recognized the horse’s adroitness at an early age. Moreover, the DSHS named Coronado the Horse of the Year in 2019. Not long after, Nassar and his beloved equine clinched a well-deserved victory at the 2022 Dublin Horse Show CSIO 5*. Without a doubt, the record time of 35.27s confirmed their incredible journey ahead.
