How does the magazine interaction work in Starfield? 

The magazine interaction feature follows a simple principle of perks count in reference to a player’s collection. 

• Each Magazine group has its own Perk pool
• There are a total of 115 Magazine perks to collect
• There are a total of 115 Magazines to collect
• The Perk pools are set and have a predetermined order they unlock, except Magazines with recipes – those are tied to exact Magazine issue numbers
• It doesn’t matter the order you pick up the Magazine, the perks will unlock in the same order, except Magazines with recipes – those are tied to exact Magazine issue numbers

• It doesn’t matter if you pick up the Magazine pre-NG+, your first NG+, or in any future NG+, You can pick up the same Magazine in different NG+ play-throughs and eventually get all the perks for that Perk pool, except Magazines with recipes – those are tied to exact Magazine issue numbers.
• After picking up enough Magazines to exhaust all the perks for its respective Perk pool there isn’t a reason to continue to collect them.
• Magazine perks do carry over to NG+
