Far Cry 6, is finally available on Xbox Game Pass. This game is the latest in Ubisoft’s long-running series of open-world first-person shooter games. These games also have some elements of survival and stealth to them, as players can sneak around the map and even craft stuff. But there’s something to know. The game isn’t easy.
The Ubisoft FPs title is a hard game to get through. There are different types of enemies and equally complex combat scenarios. So players could have a tough time. However, for players who like to enjoy the game without too much of a challenge, there is a tutorial on how to lower the game difficulty.

It is common for gamers to start a game in the default difficulty setting. That setting is usually medium or normal. It strikes a balance between the easiest and hardest difficulties in the games. And this is preferred by players who want a balance between combat and the in-game experience. But if Far Cry 6 players playing the game on Xbox Game Pass find this difficulty too hard, it can be changed at any time. Even while they are in the middle of a gunfight. Just follow the following steps:
- Open the in-game menu by pausing the game and then go to System.
- Select options and then select gameplay.
- Finally, find the Game Difficulty option and select your preferred difficulty.
Choose from the following three difficulty modes:
- Story Mode: The easiest mode for those who just want to enjoy a story. Enemies in this mode are weak and deal very little damage.
- Action Mode: Enemies would be a little tougher and would do more damage to players.
- Guerilla Mode: Enemies would be much harder. Access to ammunition would also be limited. And some HUD elements would be disabled to make the game more challenging.
There are some exceptions, though. While changing difficulty in this game is pretty easy and straightforward, players must remember some important things.

Players cannot change the difficulty if they select Guerilla Mode from the get-go. In guerilla mode, the disabled HUD elements can be activated by simply going to the accessibility menu in options.
While it is not confirmed if its DLCs will also be coming to Game Pass, if they do, in Inside the Mind, players can change difficulty between Mind Levels too. But for Lost Between Worlds, difficulty has to be changed as one does for the main story.
