One of the most intriguing aspects of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice league is players having to go up against their beloved superheroes. And that includes, arguably, DC’s strongest superhero, Superman. But if the Justice Leage is mind controlled by Brainiac, while players will need the suicide squad to stop them, will other superheroes show up?
There are different names to choose from such as Catwoman, Aquaman, Green Arrow among many others. In fact, anyone who has played the Arkham games knows that Catwoman is very much in the Arkham verse along with the Bat’s other sidekicks, including Nightwing, Robin and Red Hood. However, Supergirl is a character who deserves a special mention. With Superman on the dark side, players could use Kara Danvers.

Whenever Superman has appeared in any media form, be it a TV show or movies, speculations always pop regarding Supergirl. Simply because these two share a deep bond, them being cousins. Kara Danvers’ father Zor-El is the brother of Clark Kent’s father, Jor-El.
In video games, Supergirl has previously appeared in Injustice: Gods Among Us and its sequel, Injustice 2. She was also a playable character in DC Universe Online. In live-action, Supergirl appeared in TV shows like Smallville, CW’s Arrowverse, The Flash and The Flash movie under the now-defunct DC Extended Universe. Supergirl also had her own CW show, played by Melissa Benoist.
On a side note, Supergirl is set to be the highlight of DC’s live-action movie franchise once again. With James Gunn now in-charge of a rebooted DC Studios, he’s already working on a film called Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow. Moreover, Gunn has already confirmed it before that most of the future DCU entries (TV shows, movies, and video games) will be interconnected.

So Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League may have some links to what fans will see in the films. Having Supergirl in the game would act as a nice and unique introduction before her own movie. If the makers are interested in adding her to Kill the Justice League, a ‘Girl of Steel’ post-launch DLC would also be great.
Players are also interested to see her in the game’s main story. Some fans on Reddit recently expressed their wish to see a list of characters. The list included Green Arrow, Aquaman, Black Canary, Catwoman, and Shazam!

Kara Danvers has gained a huge following in recent years with her popularity only growing thanks to her live action iteration and the planned movie. Thus, continuing to feature her in prominent titles will keep fans hooked into the DC universe. In case Suicide Squad ends up having a story expansion dealing with Superman, she might play a key role during a campaign-related quest. Further, she could be tied into a Superman storyline just like Catwoman was in Batman’s story in Arkham City. However, all these are just theories for now.
