Rockstar Games keeps getting better with each new game it releases. The same is going to be the case with GTA 6 as well. Hardcore fans are excited to witness all-new splendid graphics and a realistic experience. However, some of them are also curious to see the return of iconic features from past installments, especially Red Dead Redemption 2.
RDR2 is a benchmark for players who admire Rockstar Games a lot. It becomes even more significant when making early comparisons with GTA 6. There are multiple elements from 2018’s blockbuster title that players want the next Grand Theft Auto to include but in an even better way. A common aspect between these two titles happens to be animals – concerning a specific activity.

For the uninitiated, RDR2 has various means of traversing its open-world map. There are Mules/Donkeys, Bull, Buffalo, and even Zebra. Not to mention Trains, Stagecoaches, Wagons, Carts, and Steamboats. However, there’s one more thing players can do to go from one point to another – horse riding.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, traveling by horse happens to be the most common method of transportation. Players can either find a horse from the stables or try taming one from the wild when exploring the open-world map. Different horses vary in terms of their strength, speed, stamina, and health.
Now, those waiting eagerly for GTA 6 are interested in seeing horses returning once again. They want to roam across the map of Vice City on a horse in a free roam mode or even mini-games as part of side quests.
A Reddit user recently posted their thoughts to urge developers to include the option to ride horses. “Rdr2 horse riding was by far the best I’ve ever seen in a game and it’d be a shame to just drop it”, wrote the player. According to them, having this specific feature will add a lot of variety to the overall gaming experience. Plus, it will be just outright funny to watch NPCs riding horses in GTA 6 Online.

So far, there have been several leaks pointing towards the possibility of Rockstar taking various leaves out of RDR2’s book. If the studio introduces horse riding, it will surely please the players who have already enjoyed it a lot previously. While the GTA 6 trailer did reveal mostly all kinds of modern transportation systems, there were no moments of the characters riding any animal.

Hopefully, the second trailer will clear many things before the game’s eventual release at some point in 2025. If one has to make an assumption, Trailer 2 might arrive early next year or even during fall. Fans will have to wait unless there comes an official update from the devs themselves.
