Because the iconic Peely is missing! 

Over the years, Fortnite has emerged as a fan-favorite Battle Royale game. Most of the attention the game enjoys is attributed to the popular pop-culture references it imbibes within the game. In fact, with time, the number and magnitude of these references and collabs have only increased. The Big Bang event took the players to the new Chapter 5, and it’s been a total carnival till now. However, among the cluster of skins that are currently available in the game, Peely is nowhere to be seen, and the search is on.

The search for Peely skin has caught fire in Miami! 

In a viral post, an X account revealed how Fortnite fans are taking their frustration of Peely going missing to the streets. According to a=one user, a street in Miami has been painted ‘yellow.’ The advertisements read, “Where’s Peely?” And there’s another with Peely’s photo which reads, “LOST BANANA.”

Gamers are no strangers to the craze built around Peely. It is one of the most celebrated skins of Fortnite. Peely is not so much a single individual as it is a tribe that emerged in Season 8, more like a bunch of bananas. 

The Peely tribe’s rite of passage is seen in the loading screen for Ripening Ritual. Peely was turned into a smoothie by Jonesy in the teaser for Season 9. The P-1000 was created at the conclusion of Season X when Jonesy constructed a robot suit for Smoothie Peely. Xylo-Bone, an emote that comes pre-installed on Peely Bone, was added in Chapter 2: Season 1.

Recently, the skin had gone missing in Chapter 5 Season 1 just to arrive in a new Adventure Peely form at Item Shop for 1200 V bucks.

As the X post went viral, it attracted a lot of attention from the Battle Royale community. While the fans were impressed with the dedication of hardcore Peely fans, they loved it as a great opportunity to bring Epic Games under scrutiny. The banana legend is yet to grace the new Chapter and fans are not willing to wait anymore. It was about time the players began their ‘search operation.’

A player is confident to get the skin before getting their hands on Rockstar Games’ GTA 6. Considering GTA 6 will release some time in 2025, hopefully they will find Peely by then.
