How to play the Fortnite Festival in Chapter 5 Season 1 

After a grand homecoming season, we now have a dynamic musical-based game mode. Certainly, the Fortnite fever isn’t ending anytime soon. However, to have the best experience in the new mode, there are certain pointers you need to keep in mind. 

Basics 

• Align your notes with the targets on the line. The better your timing and alignment are with the note, the better you will be rewarded in the score. 
• Try to hit every note to build a streak. It will not only help you enhance your performance but also boost your score multiplayer. Go for the 5 stars! 
• As mentioned above, your progress would be rewarded through stars up to five. Pro players can expect to earn golden stars. 

Working with the Band 

• Team up with your friends in the game (up to four) to form a band to earn band scores and stars. 
• Also, try to maintain diversity with the instruments as varied instruments would earn you bonus points. 
• Use Overdrive in sync with your band for big score bonuses.

Overdrive can also help you double your score multiplier for a limited period of time. But how do you gain Overdrive? 

The Bonus Notes

• Playing glow notes in the mode will help you earn Overdrive. 
• Some notes have tails called “sustains.” To play a sustain, hold it for its full duration.
•  “Lift notes” are played by releasing the button you pressed to play the prior note. Or, you can just press again.

Staging Your Performance in the Fortnite Festival Mode 

Of course, you will be looking forward to hitting the stage in the mode. Making your feature at the stage is simple, you’ll just have to choose songs to build your setlist before every show. Now, be careful while picking up your instrument for the show because it would also involve difficulty setting later on. The more the difficulty, the more complex notes would have to be played. 

Once through the difficulty settings, you’ll be ready for the show!
