Armored vehicles in GTA Online can help you get out of some sticky situations. Whether there are cops on your tail or some rival players, having an armored vehicle will help increase survivability by quite a bit. GTA Online provides players with plenty of armored vehicles, but the lesser-known fact is that there are different types of vehicle armor.
In GTA Online, players will come across 3 levels of armor on vehicles. Regular vehicles can go up in flames quite easily with just guns. The second type are the armored vehicles that are good against bullets but will give in the second a missile is launched at it. The last kind is the one that you would want to get in the game, as these vehicles can sustain multiple missile hits before blowing up. Each vehicle has its pros and cons. Some are great against missiles but don’t do much against bullets, some can’t face missiles, some take damage but aren’t too fast. No matter which vehicle players prefer, there is always another to counter it so players need to be smart about which they pick. And to help make that decision, we’ve picked 10 armored vehicles you need to check out.

The Karin Kuruma (Armored) is probably the first can most players should get in the game. Although it’s not the best-armored vehicle on the list, it is one of the cheapest and fastest. Players can get the Kuruma for $698,250 and $525,000 after The Fleeca Job from Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
It handles well and is good as a starter getaway car. The vehicle can survive many rounds of gunfire and the windows in the vehicle are also bullet-resistant.
9. Barrage
A fast, durable, all-terrain vehicle that comes with two turrets. With a capacity to load up 4 players into the vehicle, it might not be one of the best-armored vehicles in the game, but it is one of the most fun to use. Although it can’t survive missiles, it has decent protection against gunfire.
The driver is the most vulnerable, as the front of the vehicle is not properly sheltered. It can be bought from the Warstock Cache & Carry for $2,121,350 or $1,595,000 (Trade price).
8. Insurgent Pick-Up Custom
This 9-person vehicle is probably one of the best ways to travel for a large crew. This vehicle is relatively fast for its large body but does take a hit when it comes to cornering sharp turns. While being completely upgraded, the vehicle can sustain up to 26 homing missiles or 8 RPGs. But watch out while being chased by gunners, as the large windows on the vehicle are not bulletproof.
The vehicle also comes with a machine gun to fight off against bikers and other lighter vehicles. Players can pick the HVY Insurgent Pick-Up from Warstock Cache & Carry for $1,795,000 and $1,350,000 after The Humane Labs Raid. It can then be converted into the Pick-Up Custom for $202,500 at the Mobile Operations Center or Avenger workshop.
7. Brickade 6×6
This armored mobile laboratory is a customized variant of the Brickade that is used as an Acid Lab in GTA Online. Although this vehicle is not that great for quick getaways. It is a good one to have to be able to avoid other players rampaging the city.

The vehicle comes with an extremely high durability factor which lets it take 47 homing missiles and the only thing it can’t survive is the Orbital Cannon, but then, who can blame it? While there are no direct weapons added to the vehicle, it does have some serious ramming power which can move away heavy vehicles out of the way while driving around Los Santos.
6. Nightshark
Even 25-homing rockets won’t take down this beast of a vehicle. The NightShark is a 4 passenger armored SUV that was made to take a beating. It is extremely fast and is one of the best options when speed and ramming power are in demand. The vehicle will survive 8 RPG hits but has the same problem as the Insurgent with non-bulletproof windows.
Guest-listed players will receive the NightShark for free while other players can pick it up from the Warstock Cache & Carry for $1,245,000.
5. Terrorbyte
The Benefactor Terrorbyte is an expedition truck that lets players build a workshop for the notorious Oppressor MK II. This defensive vehicle is best to avoid other players as it can take up to 34 missiles and is barely scratched by bullets. Although it is not as durable as the Brickade 6×6, it has a trick up its sleeve.
The truck comes with one of the best weapon systems in the game called the Multi-lock Missile Battery. This lets players lock multiple vehicles and launch homing missiles at each of them. Pick it up at the Warstock Cache and Carry for $1,375,000.
4. The TM-02 Khanjali
Positioned as an offensive juggernaut, the TM-02 Khanjali Tank presents commendable armor capable of withstanding eight homing rockets. Equipped with a range of offensive weaponry, including a railgun, and the capacity to carry three armed passengers, the tank easily can be used to cause havoc in GTA Online.
Despite its offensive capabilities, the TM-02 Khanjali remains susceptible to threats from other tanks or Oppressor Mk2s. The inclusion of rocket boosters helps the tank move faster, which makes it a great pick in PvP situations.
3. Avenger
The Avenger is more of an airborne fortress than a plane. It can easily withstand 23 homing rockets. As a VTOL aircraft, it offers machine guns and homing rockets for the pilot, while the cargo hold features three explosive cannons controlled by gun stations.

The unique Imani upgrades, such as the homing missile lock-on jam, further elevate their defensive capabilities, rendering traditional homing rockets ineffective against these upgraded civilian cars.
1. Mobile Operation Center (MOC)
The Pegasus Mobile Operations Center is a modular semi-trailer that can be bought for $1,225,000 and 2,790,000 trade price at the Warstock Cache & Carry. This is the ultimate armored vehicle in the game as it can take 22 RPG rockets or 68 homing missiles.
