The Nintendo Switch has no shortage of interesting games. Its catalog is full of games from multiple genres, games that are highly regarded by gamers all over the world. But often people find themselves looking for a game that is not their usual action-adventure title. And even if it is an action-adventure game, it is on the lighter side, allowing one to chill when they feel like it.

And, to no one’s surprise, there’s no shortage of such games on the Nintendo Switch either. There are a bunch of games on this hybrid console that make people feel super cosy. Here are 7 such games.

  1. Stardew Valley

It starts with a person receiving a letter from their grandparents informing them of a land that they have recently inherited. And this is where the player’s journey as a farmer begins in Stardew Valley. They clear their land, familiarize themselves with people in the town that they reside in, and then they just live. They grow crops, talk to people, harvest the crops, sell them, and start relationships.

There’s nothing in this game that players are forced to do. They are simply living a peaceful, laid-back life as long as they want to.

  1. Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Another game where players travel to an unknown land and end up starting a new life there. But this time, the place is full of anthropomorphic animals. Players fish, catch bugs, design their houses, and even decorate their brand-new town. The customization in this game is so deep that players have developed whole islands on various themes, and then they invite their friends to visit.

Once again, collecting apples, and seashells, dealing in turnips, and just chilling is what one does in Animal Crossing.

  1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Now, many gamers out there might frown when they read this name. Skyrim literally starts with a player character escaping a beheading because a massive dragon disrupted the whole thing. How can it be on the list of cosy and relaxing games? Well, after escaping the dragon, players can just go anywhere they want. They don’t even have to continue the main story; they just roam around, hunt, forage, learn the art of smithing, and do anything else if they want.

Once they earn some money, they can buy themselves some land, build a house by designing it themselves, and then live there in peace. The music, the atmosphere, everything in this game just makes you want to close your eyes and live there forever.

  1. Cozy Grove

Look at this one now; it has cozy in its name. If you ever tried your hands on Don’t Starve and gave up, this would be the game to lift your spirits. In this life, Sim players visit an island where they help spirits with their afterlives. They would eventually make friends and start changing the island into something more inhabitable as they completed various quests and explored it.

This game would not allow players to leave. It feels so good, with all your friends and that beautiful, uplifting music.

  1. Palia

A developer called Singularity 6 Corporation decided that they would make all these crafty survival games even more fun. And how do they do it? They turn this idea into an MMORPG. Yes, now players can fish, gather resources, craft, and farm along with their friends.

This game has yet to launch, but it has a launch date of 2024. When it does, it will become one of the destinations for players to visit when they want to chill.

  1. Fae Farm

A game that starts as somewhat of a Stardew Valley rip-off but ends up being a thing of its own. In fact, this game improves on everything that Stardew Valley does. Players can run, jump, and do everything faster; farming is also much easier in this one.

And once players cross that tutorial phase, they see themselves living that farm life without much to care about. Further, this one looks like a dream!
