Nintendo creates some of the best games ever in gaming, and their games also have an insane replay value. It’s as if they create their games with replayability in mind. From the first Super Mario Bros. to the recently launched The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, their games have had insane replay value.

Over time, they have a tendency to release new content for their games. Yes, they are called DLCs, and many other developers do them too. But sometimes Nintendo releases such content updates for free. Here’s a list of a few such games that received content that increased their replay value.

Mario Golf: Super Rush

At launch, Mario Golf was not a game with much content. But Nintendo decided to make this game worth its price for the buyers. To do so, they released a bunch of new content for Mario Golf: Super Rush.

From new characters like Shy Guy and Wiggler to new game modes like Target Golf to new gold courses like Shelltop Sanctuary, this game was eventually made complete with this content. Very commendable indeed.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

One of the largest and longest-running games Nintendo has ever launched. The COVID-19 lockdown made it a household name. Fans everywhere played this game day and night. Slowly, it became one of the best-selling consoles on the market.

Nintendo released special characters such as Niko and Wardell for Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Besides that, the game got Harv’s Island expansion. If that was not enough, items like different chairs, gameplay mechanics like cooking and farming, new furniture, and many more such things were added to this game. It’s insane how much this game grew after its launch. And fans got all that free of charge.

Arms

Arms was showcased by Nintendo to their fans as a very unusual multiplayer title. A fighting game unlike any other. And it was released to a lukewarm reaction from everyone. Critics were indifferent to it, and some fans bought it. But Nintendo refused to give up. They decided to build a successful game out of it; hence, they started bringing exciting new content to Arms.

Eventually, this Nintendo Switch exclusive was getting new playable characters, such as Commissioner Max Brass. New ARMS such as Nade, Roaster, and Kablammer, and new stages such as Sky Arena. And this was only the beginning; Arms kept on getting new free content almost a year after its initial launch. And that effort made it somewhat successful too.

If Nintendo puts its mind to it, it can really provide its fans with some excellent live service titles. They have a knack for making games that are insanely fun to play. And they also have a thing for releasing the perfect post-launch content for their games.
