1) S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2

Survival horror shooters set in a post-apocalyptic world had only two original inspirations: Fallout and Stalker. The Fallout series has seen numerous installments over the years. On the other hand, Stalker, the creepier one of the two, has yet to see a sequel. This makes Stalker 2 extra special.

Some of the original developers of the first installments are coming back to bring fans this new game. And they are no doubt working very hard. Given that the developer, GSC Game World, had to relocate from Ukraine to Czech Republic, as well as hackers, development slowed. Let’s hope things get better for them and this game comes out in 2024!

2) Persona 3: Reload

JRPG games are making a big comeback. Games like Final Fantasy XVI, Octopath Traveler 2, etc. have seen huge sales numbers. The persona series has also seen a similar rise in popularity. Persona 5 is a big hit; Persona 4 was already a grand success; people hardly know Persona 3, though. However, there’s a reason for that. This game is something of an oddball. It’s way darker than its later two installments and not as fun to play.

Now, Atlus is fixing that with its remake of Persona 3 Reload. This title is redesigned to look pretty funky and is going to launch on Xbox Game Pass alongside other platforms in early 2024.

3) Avowed

Years ago, Obsidian Entertainment developed Fallout New Vegas. This game was a spin-off for Bethesda’s Fallout 3, but it got praised for being far better than its bigger, budget-numbered sibling. This started a sort of unspoken rivalry between the two developers. Obsidian followed through on that rivalry with the launch of The Outer Worlds, and fans started calling it a better game than Fallout 4!

Now they will bring Avowed, an RPG set in a world that is a mix of modern and medieval worlds. People have guns, and they use magic. Some say this game could rival Skyrim. The game will release in 2024 for Xbox Game Pass.

4) Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga

Ninja Theory’s Hellblade Senua’s Sacrifice was a phenomenon. That game set the stage for AAA Indie titles. And it also showed everyone how a game can help people understand the psychological condition of people suffering from psychosis. Then, Microsoft purchased Ninja Theory, and ever since then, they have been working on Hellblade 2, a larger and creepier sequel to the original.

This game was recently shown off in its full glory during The Game Awards 2023. This means its launch date is close; fans might even get to play it sometime in 2024.

5) Ark 2

Ark Survival Evolution is a widely successful survival multiplayer game. Imagine roaming a prehistoric world and having to survive in it. Cutting down trees and building strongholds. Eventually finding stuff to even build guns and hunt dinosaurs. And defending your stronghold from other players. This game is just so unique, and it’s getting a remake. A game that is larger, better looking, and stars none other than Vin Diesel!

Activision’s Library

While this is technically not a game, it has been mentioned a bunch of times that fans will start seeing the effects of Microsoft’s Activision acquisition next year. While it is a given, that newer Call of Duty titles will not be coming to Game Pass, as that’s what Microsoft promised Sony, fans can still expect some older titles and other masterpieces such as Sekiro, Prototype, Crash Bandicoot, etc.
