Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will soon receive a big update. Season 1 Reloaded is set to arrive next week, bringing in tons of content for Multiplayer and Warzone modes. However, it looks like players of Zombies mode won’t get much out of this mid-season update, according to an insider.
Modern Warfare Zombies debuted in the MW series in MW3. Since then, it has succeeded in impressing most players with a blend of deadly zombies and loot-based extraction. While Season 1 Reloaded is coming with numerous surprises, fans of MWZ are going to get only one thing in terms of content – surely, it won’t be enough.

A popular COD leaker and industry insider, known as Detonated on X, recently dropped a post on the social media platform. While mentioning Modern Warfare Zombies, this scooper noted that, “The ‘Dokkaebi’ Warlord is the only new content coming” to Zombies mode as part of Season 1 Reloaded.

For the uninitiated, South Korean–born Dokkaebi will be the new Operator appearing as a strong challenge for players. Although she was previously introduced with Season 1, this time she’s going to be a Warlord.
“A key lieutenant within Terminus Outcomes, Dokkaebi boasts a deep understanding of electronic warfare with access to a fleet of self-programmed autonomous drones ready to attack Operator Deadbolt Operatives on sight,” reads the official description from a recent blog by devs.

In Modern Warfare Zombies, players will find Dokkaebi’s fortress at the top of a skyscraper, located in Zaravan City. This Warlord can wreak heavy damage onto her opponents. She’s skilled in using turrets, drones, and a Wheelson as her main line of defense. Teams of players who are skilled enough in getting past her early deterrents will get to face a tough opponent, eventually.

While the addition of Dokkaebi will be nice to have, it’s going to be the only new update for players inside Zombies mode. That’s what can make a lot of fans deeply frustrated. Simply because many of them were hoping to get more stuff to enjoy in the open-world mode with a mid-season update. Further, Multiplayer and Warzone modes will be getting various new items as opposed to MWZ. That’s also one of the reasons that may disappoint the players of the extraction-based experience.
It will be interesting to see how, and if, devs respond to the lack of sufficient content for MWZ in Season 1 Reloaded. Fans will definitely expect to get some kind of update from Treyarch – the studio behind Modern Warfare 3 Zombies.
