Following the trailer reveal of GTA 6, the hype for the game has reached to an astronomical level. But one thing that has remained constant is the appearance of non-stop rumors and leaks for Rockstar’s most expensive project yet. It seems they won’t cease to pop up unless the open-world title gets eventually released.

Interestingly, a leak from four years has recently surfaced online focusing on GTA 6 and its enormous scope. Apparently, it reveals Rockstar’s ambitious plans for the awaited installment. What’s important to note are the comparisons made with studio’s 2018 blockbuster Red Dead Redemption 2. Seems like GTA 6 is Rockstar’s step towards a goal to achieve what even RDR 2 couldn’t accomplish in terms of realism.

On Reddit platform, one user recently shared a post unleashing a leak from an insider who initially shared it in 2019. Apparently, this insider claimed to be a QA tester who got to play an in-development build of GTA 6 four years ago. Per the QA tester, they were given a PS5 dev kit to carry out the process.

The tester, from their alleged gameplay of GTA 6, revealed that the early build had an unimaginably large map. It was something Rockstar had not included in its past projects. So much so that it “makes GTA 5 look like a schoolyard playground. There are an array of atmospheric effects that bring out the life in everything. Light pollution, hurricane winds, morning fog, etc. I’ve never seen an open world game this realistic before” reads a section from the Reddit leak that was shared on a different website.

Moreover, the leak also mentioned how much of an inspiration Red Dead Redemption 2 is for GTA 6. And that Rockstar really wants to present a ‘technological beast’ with its next open-world epic. “RDR2’s engine is sorta a precursor to GTA 6. You might’ve noticed just how amazingly crafted and realistic the volumetric clouds were in RDR2’s skybox despite only ever being able to take in the skies”.

As far as the map is concerned, it’s so “stupendously huge” that Rockstar is expected to be offering more aerial options to traverse between various points. It appears the QA tester was only given the opportunity to have a certain look at the map and not the characters or story-based aspects. Probably that’s the reason why they have only emphasized on the map’s ginormous scope.

“The game is absolutely titanic. I can only imagine it in its finished state. I’m not sure what Rockstar’s ultimate vision is with this game. Mechanically it’s still very GTA, but it is a technological beast.” The leak describes it as a splendor of modern game design and Hollywood budget. Which means rumors relating to a record-breaking budget might be true eventually.

Going by recent theories connected to the game’s trailer, it will have Lucia’s character getting betrayed by Jason. The latter is rumored to be an undercover cop and may eventually play a role in sending Lucia to prison for her crimes. But again, that’s what theorists believe and fans should take such speculations with a grain of salt.
