The Game Awards 2023 are just hours away, and every gamer out there is hyped to know if the game of their choice will win the GOTY. Last year, Elden Ring surprised everyone by winning Game of the Year 2022. It had a very close battle with God of War: Ragnarök for that award. But there was another thing going on during that show: a massive Steam Deck giveaway.

The Game Awards always end up being crazy. The last time host and Game Awards creator Geoff Keighley gave away a bunch of Steam Decks to the fans who saw the show. That giveaway turned out to be a major success, increasing the viewership of this awards show manifold. Now, it looks like Geoff might have something very similar in mind!

There’s always a reason for fans to look forward to the Game Awards show. The numerous announcements, world premieres, and, of course, the awards. All of that is going to happen this time around, too. But in addition to that, Geoff Keighley plans to follow up on last year’s giveaway with something even better!

Yes, just like he did last year, this time too, Geoff Keighley has decided to give away a bunch of Valve’s handheld gaming devices. What makes this event even better is the fact that this time fans will be getting a newer and more powerful Steam Deck OLED model. Hence, it is suggested that every gamer tune into The Awards Show on December 7 and register for their chance to win a Steam Deck OLED console.

This means this console does not just look better; it even runs a bunch of games far better than its previous self. These improvements come at almost the same price as the previous console. Some say Valve’s decision to give this console a mid-life upgrade might even mean a new generation is on the way.
