Alan Wake 2 is undoubtedly one of the most popular titles in gaming at the moment. It was nominated for a bunch of awards at the Game Awards 2023. Fans suggest that this game even deserved to win this award. It looks too good, to be sure. Hence, pretty much the whole leadership of developer Remedy is attending the Game Awards, and besides their presence, they brought something special to the audience too!

This survival horror sequel launched over ten years after its original. The game saw massive fanfare before and after its launch. And as Remedy Entertainment always does, they went ahead and set a new standard for visuals in this title. A game that sets standards in gameplay, storytelling, and visuals, needs to be nominated for several awards. And besides getting nominated, Alan Wake ended up winning too.

How would a game development studio celebrate the success of its game? Well, they would bring a rock band to the venue of the Game Awards show and they would give their fans a live show. That’s exactly what Remedy Entertainment decided to do. And it was a moment to behold.

Yes, indeed, Remedy Entertainment decided to bring their longtime collaborator band, Poets of the Fall. They visited the show as their in-game persona, Old Gods of Asgard, and gave an incredible performance of one of the popular tracks from the game. In this performance, they were joined by actors Alan Wake, and Ilkka Villi.

It was a glorious show of their talents, and it might have worked pretty well in hyping fans up for this survival horror game. It only gets better when fans realize that this studio later ended up winning the best art-direction award at the Game Awards 2023.

They had a hefty competition too!

Besides Alan Wake 2 this category had some other incredible nominations. games like Hi-Fi Rush, Lies of P, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom were nominated for this category too. It is an incredible and surprising feat that Alan Wake 2 ended up winning, even though it stood against some evidently good-looking and well-designed titles.

Numerous other outlets would be handing out these awards throughout the month. It has to be seen if Alan Wake 2 continues this streak of winning or not. Maybe these winnings would even contribute to this game’s sales and do Remedy some good.
