After the reports of it going the live service route first emerged online, WB’s upcoming Wonder Woman game has caught a lot of attention lately. Even the makers had to clarify that it will focus primarily on the single-player aspect, more than anything. However, now it seems like there are more rumors that need to be addressed.

The latest report is related to Wonder Woman and how it might be like in terms of visuals. Well, if the latest speculation is anything to go by, fans can expect to see similarities with last year’s Gotham Knights – in more ways than one. On a good note, though, there’s still one major difference between the two WB titles.

Wonder Woman rumored to be visually similar to Gotham Knights, while having a Performance Mode

The upcoming game might improve on what Gotham Knights failed to deliver – smoother performance. The game was locked to 30 FPS only at launch. And as reported by EUROGAMER, executive producer Fleur Martyhad confirmed it was “due to the types of features.” However, Wonder Woman is rumored to have better gameplay, thanks to a 60 FPS support. That’s according to a brand new rumor revealed by an insider.

Co-founder of the XboxEra podcast, Shpeshal Nick, recently sat down with Sikamikanico and Maka to talk about various gaming updates. The three discussed tons of news popping online regarding numerous projects. During ‘The Rumourmill’ segment, however, Shpeshal shocked his fellow hosts by unleashing lesser-known details and new intel on WB’s single player Wonder Woman game.

While reiterating the fact that Wonder Woman won’t be a live service title, he said that it’s currently running at 30 FPS. Someone had allegedly sent him details that reportedly revealed this information. However, Shpeshal mentioned that the game is being pushed now for having 60 frames per second, eventually.

Comparing it with Gotham Knights, the host said that WB’s title from 2022 didn’t really have a 60 FPS option. But Wonder Woman will reportedly get a Performance Mode while giving the players much better and fluid experience.

“At the moment, what I am hearing about Wonder Woman is that it is currently 30 frames. They have it running at 30 but they are pushing for a performance mode to be there coz we know Gotham Knights didn’t have a performance mode”.

Now what’s interesting to note is that the game will be visually similar to Gotham Knights. For fans who don’t like the latter, it may come across as a bad thing. But according to Shpeshal, Gotham Knights is just fine and isn’t that bad in its looks. “I am guessing most people will probably find it better”, he said regarding WW while mentioning Gotham Knights.

What to expect from gameplay mechanics in Wonder Woman game?

During the same podcast episode, Shpeshal also revealed that the game may have unique mechanics, specifically related to the Lasso of Truth. As the name suggests, it’s a tool used by Wonder Woman to compel someone to speak out the truth. According to the host, Princess Diana will be able to use it quite effectively.

“Jumping and leaping and fast dashing feels really cool, like a good version of Crackdown. The Lasso feels good to use, works like, sort of like Spider-Man’s webs. And you can wrap it around people and slam them”, Shpeshal revealed the rumored information about the Lasso.

Further, the title may feature Loot boxes just like in God of War games. A similar aspect could be present in Wonder Woman too, according to Shpeshal. Plus, there’s also the possibility of witnessing the Invisible Jet. “There’s like chests and there’s looting. The loot is Boots, like torso stuff with stats, similar to God of War almost. Like God of War: Ragnarok has that.”

At the moment, the developing studio Monolith hasn’t confirmed a release date. Even a proper trailer is yet to see the light of day. Fans will have to wait unless there’s an official word from WB in the coming months.
