Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League may already be facing backlash. While the game is a month away from releasing, players have still got a lot of unanswered questions. Players are concerned about Rocksteady Studios’ post-launch content roadmap.
Some fans are not yet convinced about buying the game. Being a live-service game, fans are worried about how the developers will manage post launch content. A player has claimed they won’t spend more than $10 unless the developers first confirm what to expect, including their plans for “battlepass,” “price” and “p2w.”

For the uninitiated, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was confirmed to have a live-service format in the beginning of 2023. Since then, it has received a polarizing reaction from the community. Many players hoped that a delay would result in the devs reconsidering the live-service functionality altogether. However, that didn’t happen.
Now that it’s set to launch with live-service features, players have questions on the pricing of weapon cosmetics and exclusive character skins. They want Rocksteady Studios to clear the situation over the cost of post-release content. A Redditor recently highlighted this problem in a post shared on the social platform.
According to the Reddit user, the “Post Launch Content Insider Video needs to come sooner than later.” And that’s what is going to be the “deciding factor of getting this game,” wrote the player. They want a transparency on prices related to Battle Pass, in-game store, and also pay-to-win content.
“If Character and Weapons skins are $20 a pop, I’m out. I wouldn’t spend anything more than $10,” read the post description. Further, for the Battle Pass, they are ready to spend not more than $9.50.
The game’s FAQ page addresses the question about the game having a Battle Pass, where it says, “Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have a post-launch cosmetics-only battle pass to earn new outfits, emotes, and other items to customize playable characters. A new battle pass will be available during each season of post-launch content and will have free tiers available at no cost to all players, along with premium tiers that will be available via an optional in-game purchase. All battle pass items will be cosmetic and will not affect gameplay in any way.”

Another point made by the user is that if the game will require them to be ‘Always Online’ even for the Campaign, they want their purchased cosmetics to be available offline too. “So if this game fails, I want the stuff I bought, always!”

The title itself will cost $69.99 for the Standard Edition, which is the standard now for bigger titles and AAA games. On the other hand, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Deluxe Edition will cost players a whopping $99.99. Hence, it’s normal for potential consumers to be skeptical and doubtful ahead of its launch, and expect features to be delivered in the best way possible for a price they deem reasonable. Hopefully, Rocksteady Studios’ team will share an update soon revealing the roadmap, before the release inFebruary 2024.
