CS2 has invited community heat again as another exploit from the game surfaced on the web. The sequel to Valve’s iconic FPS CS: GO was probably one of the most anticipated launches of 2023. However, CS2 couldn’t live up to the fan expectations. There have been constant bug reports and exploits that have surfaced throughout its campaign. Although the developers have tried to address the issues with patch updates, the new Counter-Strike still seems like a long way from an ideal CS: GO sequel. And unfortunately for the developers, another exploit has come to light.
While the game has hardly moved on from the recent cyber theft exploit in the game, another bug is allegedly leaving the players frustrated. Not a good way to kick off holiday season. Here’s what the new CS2 exploit is all about.

“If you think vote panel “exploit” was crazy, wait til you find out what workshop maps that have full panorama access can do,” the user initially reporting the bug wrote. Apparently, in this exploit, maps in the workshop could contain a script that lets the owner control items in one’s inventory through Panorama’s API. Here’s one sample of the exploit’s potential.

In theory, this means deleting items, applying/scraping stickers, opening cases & doing trade-ups is possible (as shown in the video). Until Valve addresses the bug, downloading or playing any workshop maps might not be a great idea. Looking at all these recently discovered bugs, it surely isn’t a great time for the CS developers.
Just a few hours earlier, the game was subjected to another controversial exploit. The exploit was ‘votekick’ allegedly fixed by the developers, but there wasn’t any official confirmation given to the issue.
What was the Votekick exploit?
FPS fans over the years have witnessed a range of bugs and exploits. Giants like Call of Duty labels, and CS: GO are no strangers to some glitches. However, very rarely do these issues force the players to stop playing the game. Unfortunately, one recent viral big report known as the Votekick bug was one such bug. As soon as the issue was addressed on social media, players had to stop playing the game due to cyber security reasons.

According to the reports, CS2 reported a vulnerability that could potentially get players’ data and IP address leaked to hackers. The issue even worked with lobby invites, so simple idling in the game menu could be dangerous as well! So, for cyber safety precautions, players were advised to not access CS2 until Valve officially brought a patch update. The issue was seemingly fixed in hours after it trended on social media, but there was no statement released by the developers.
