Season 1 of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has delivered a lot. From weapons and modes to cosmetic bundles, players have received tons of content to enjoy. But, there’s one more thing they are enjoying these days – the maps in the game. Precisely speaking, one special map has succeeded in impressing the players. So much so that they think it’s second to Nuketown. Now, that’s a rare compliment.
Modern Warfare 3 features an improved gameplay experience compared to its predecessor Modern Warfare II. Alongside fast-paced mechanics and returning perks, it has brought back many older maps, for nostalgia lovers. However, when it comes to original maps, the title hasn’t disappointed in treating players with a unique location they are now finding too good to leave.

With the first major update in Season 1, devs unveiled some fresh maps, alongside 16 remastered maps from 2009’s MW2. Greece and Meat were the main 6v6 Multiplayer maps added to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. After more than a month, now it looks like Meat has impressed fans the most, and for very good reasons too.
On Reddit, a player recently dropped a post while showering praising words for Meat map in Modern Warfare 3. According to them, it’s “only second to Nuketown“. That line is special, considering that Nuketown happens to be one of the most popular MP maps of all time in the entire history of Call of Duty franchise.
“I’ve got to say I think Meat is the best small new map we’ve had in COD for years“, wrote the player on the Reddit. Additionally, the user also mentioned that Meat’s “central corridor is crazy chaos and I always laugh at the carnage. Domination and Hardpoint play great on it too.”

While showing an increasing love for Meat, the player also hoped for it to stay in the playlist for rest of the season in 2024. So much admiration for Meat seems justified as well, considering that it provides a wide of variety of gunfights due to having a three-lane design. That’s quite rare to witness in a small map. But the devs emphasized on making it that way, which is undoubtedly a commendable thing.
Also, Meat offers something for everyone as far as playstyles are concerned. It’s not like one of those maps where campers tend to win and runners/movement players keep struggling or vice-versa. There’s never occurred such a situation in games taking place inside this area.

Maybe the only thing that’s preventing Meat from being the best map of COD is the problem of bad spawns in Modern Warfare 3. Hopefully, devs will introduce much-needed tweaks to this area, as well as other maps. Doing so will definitely make the overall FPS experience stupendous to say the least.
