Bugs have had a very long history with the Call of Duty franchise. Some of the infamous glitches of the FPS classic can be traced back to the OG decade-old days of the Modern Warfare series. Remember the days of Care Package and Javelin Glitch from Modern Warfare 2 (2009)? The 2009 CoD title had some celebrated lists of bugs that a lot of players enjoyed exploiting for some extra XPs.

But with Modern Warfare 3, the gaming fans are rather concerned than being excited to use the loophole. According to the players, the Rocket Launcher Glitch that appears to have resurfaced in the CoD universe might lead to a series of unfair bans. Thus, fans are demanding a patch update as soon as possible.

The reason it’s being compared to the infamous Javelin Glitch is because it also allowed players to use the rocket launcher to cause a large explosion that would kill everyone nearby and ruin most players’ fun. The MW3 player who shared the clip on X (formerly Twitter), wrote, This is a bug due to a killstreak same thing was in Vanguard. Be careful this can lead to a temp ban from what I have noticed if your on a newer gen console or pc youll get banned if reported. It’s a glitch in the game.”

Although being a flaw in the game, it had become a fun trend for the games to try in MW2. However, while a lot of gamers still seemed invested in using the bug, the user believes that it might not be a great idea.

Fans reminisce about MW2
