Like the Spider-Man 2 Theory, GTA 6 Fan Has Attempted Something Similar To Predict 2025 Release Date

Thanks to an eagle-eyed gaming fan, GTA 6 has a release date already! Or so it seems. While the community is no stranger to fascinating GTA 6 theories stemming from the record breaking trailer, this new fan deduction looks more interesting than ever. But why? Looks like the theory has decoded the game’s release date.

Ever since Rockstar Games dropped the GTA 6 trailer, it’s been one theory after another. Going by a recent theory, a fan claimed to have figured the date for the next trailer. Now a more recent theory has seemingly nailed the game’s release date, which the trailer only shared as 2025. What makes this theory interesting is that before the release of Spider-Man 2, a similar theory aimed to decode the game’s release date. And though it turned out to be inaccurate, it didn’t miss by much!

GTA 6 is coming in June 2025? 

When Rockstar Games announced they were going to release a trailer soon, one thing fans were eagerly hoping for through the trailer was a release date. But to the dissatisfaction of many, the trailer only said “Coming 2025.” It is still a win, considering since GTA V which came out in 2013, this was the first official look at GTA 6. At least, now the world has a timeframe for the game’s launch. But now, a fan theory has suggested the game will release in June 2025. But how did the theory come to this conclusion?

According to the Reddit user, a frame from the GTA 6 trailer, which is also the thumbnail of the video, has a supposed cryptic code. The car’s number plate reads VEV F60. And according to the theory, the number plate is code for the release date. The user broke down the code and arrived at 22-6-2025 when aligned with the alphabetical-number placement. 

If this theory is to be believed, GTA 6 will be released on June 22, 2025. The first thought that comes to mind is how much can fans rely on such theories. Well, they have a lot more credibility than you think. 

Looking back to similar trailer deductions from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 trailer 

This isn’t the first time gamers have been busy breaking down a trailer frame to frame. A similar trend was seen after the trailer launch of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. From Venom’s significance in the game to cameo speculations, the trailer indeed built an impressive hype around the game. Apparently, it also had a similarly encrypted game release date.

One scene from the gameplay trailer showed the inside of an armored truck. A combination of letters and numbers was shown on a screen: MD#JN00201123. Fans were then hard at work, trying to understand if that had any significance. 

According to the theories back then, the release date for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was November 20, 2023. Of course, that wasn’t the case. But the fact that the predicted date was only a month away from its mark was still very impressive. And this still adds a lot more credibility to the ongoing GTA 6 theory.
