Since the release of Modern Warfare II last year, if there’s one character who’s become a fan-favorite, it’s got to be Valeria Garza. Her popularity among the fans has escalated rapidly, to say the least. And now it seems like the ruthless antagonist is set to make a return with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3!

Modern Warfare 3 has been out for a few weeks now. While the initial debut has kept the players hooked, most of them are looking forward to the release of Season 1 and all the content it will have. Interestingly, it looks like the seasonal content may also bring back the El Sin Nombre from MWII’s storyline. At least that’s what a recent social media post has suggested!

For the uninitiated, Maria Elisa Camargo is the face model for Valeria Garza in the COD universe. Apart from doing motion capture work for the character, she provides her voice as well. In MWII’s Campaign, the character was shown to be the leader of a drug cartel. Towards the end of the story, Valeria is captured by Task Force 141 and sent to prison.

However, a cut scene for MWII’s Season 3 last year showed that Valeria managed to escape the prison by killing the guards. After that, Alejandro is sent to chase her down. Sadly, the game didn’t really reveal the outcome of this subplot. It can be said that Alejandro is still after her to capture the antagonist once again.

Now speaking of Valeria’s comeback, she was rumored to arrive with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ahead of the game’s release. But the Campaign didn’t feature her at all. It mostly revolved around Makarov’s return and his conflicts with Task Force 141 members. But now, a recent social media post from Maria Elisa Camargo has suggested that she’s soon going to come back. And that her arrival might be a part of the seasonal content for Modern Warfare 3.

As one can see clearly, Maria appears to be doing motion capture work for Modern Warfare 3. This means that players who were missing her in MW3’s Campaign will soon witness her return in a future season. In fact, she may appear with the reveal of Season 1 itself, if the devs are actually planning a story-based event including her.

Not to mention there’s the Zombies mode as well in the latest installment. But it’s safe to say that Valeria won’t be making a comeback with that in any way possible. That’s because the timeline of MWZ is from the past. On the other hand, the El Sin Nombre is connected to all the recent events involving Task Force 141. Thus, the possibility of her arriving inside Modern Warfare Zombies is extremely far-fetched.

However, she might be on her way soon, when it comes to the main plot. One can only wait for now unless there’s a proper announcement from the devs themselves. How do you feel about the same? Let us know in the comments below.
