The most-awaited title in video game history now has an official trailer. After years of desperate theories and speculations, Rockstar Games has finally unveiled the first look at GTA 6. Being probably the most anticipated trailer in the realm of entertainment ever since it got an official announcement, it was obvious that plenty of YouTube records were under threat. In fact, a lot of analysts had already deduced a list of all the possible YouTube records the GTA 6 trailer could break. Well, the party has started for the Grand Theft Auto installment as it just broke a big MrBeast record!
MrBeast, the King of YouTube has been on a record-breaking streak this year. The biggest individual YouTuber had recently reached the 200 million subscribers mark. Further, he is on the road to beating T-Series to become the most subscribed YouTube channel. But the creator of the year now has some new competition. And unarguably the biggest one to date. The newly arrived GTA 6 trailer, which reached million likes in the blink of an eye, has thrashed one of MrBeast’s biggest feats.

The trailer of Rockstar Games’ next GTA installment is now the most-watched non-music video in 24 hours on YouTube. MrBeast previously held that record for his survival entertainer ‘7 Days Stranded at Sea’. The video had recorded 46 million views in 24 hours. So, it seemed highly impossible for any other non-music video to even come close. Until GTA 6 came knocking. But it didn’t just come knocking, it smashed the door down.
What’s even more interesting is the fact that the GTA 6 trailer got the same number of views (46 million) in just 8 hours of its release! These numbers might not be surprising for the gamers. But the numbers surely testify to the hype that’s been built around ‘the most expensive entertainment product of all time’.
At the time of writing, the Rockstar Games’ upload has recorded 62,525,822 views in about 13 hours.
The trailer eyes the next big record of the platform
While the GTA trailer thrashed MrBeast’s record in a monumental style, the numbers might be a teaser for the upcoming domination of the game on YouTube trends. The most obvious next record in line is BTS’ music video ‘Butter.’

With over 108 million views in a single day, BTS’s music video “Butter” holds the record for most views in a 24-hour period. In addition, it is the fastest video to reach 10 million, 50 million, and 100 million views, among other records. According to the current projections of the GTA 6 trailer, it won’t be surprising if it breaks a lot of the BTS records as well. If it does, it will surely be a great achievement for the gaming community and for the legacy of Grand Theft Auto.
