GTA 6 is on everyone’s wish list right now when it comes to video games that will be released in 2025. Alongside its single-player story mode, many fans are also curious to witness the next version of GTA Online, Rockstar Games’ most ambitious open-world title yet. However, there’s one major thing players want to get removed from Grand Theft Auto 6 Online.
The next big installment is expected to feature multiple elements that will make it unique. From the largest map to smart NPCs and overall world-building, GTA 6 has the potential to be the best game of this decade. Now, obviously, it will have its own iteration of the now-popular GTA Online, thanks to the mode’s immense success in the last ten years. For the uninitiated, GTA Online was originally revealed in October 2013. Since then, it has amassed millions of active monthly users who keep indulging in different activities and missions inside the ever-evolving world of GTA V’s giant map. At once, the online mode supports up to 30 players. They can either go solo or team up with other human players to accomplish various quests.
In recent years, GTA Online has received a significant number of DLCs with new content. Not to mention that a lot of players have expanded their online profiles too. It consists of their stats from missions and overall progress in relation to time spent in the multiplayer mode.
But now, some of the players are not keen enough to carry over their stats and overall data from GTA Online to GTA 6. This point was made very clear in a recent post by a Redditor. The user mentioned that they want “zero data to carry over from GTA 5” which is the base game for its online title.

It will be interesting to see how Rockstar Games’ team plans on making the next online iteration a captivating experience. Given that the new game will be out by 2025, one can assume the multiplayer might come out after one or two months. It can be a possibility because GTA Online was launched just a month after GTA V was rolled out in September 2013.
