From ‘Santa Gnaws’ to Map Reskins: Here’s What the Big Christmas Event Has in Store for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Players

The best time of the year is fast approaching, that is Christmas. And how can Call of Duty leave fans away from the fun-filled ride of lucrative gifts and surprises to celebrate the holiday season? Well, the next major event update for Modern Warfare 3 is going to drop soon, and it’s expected to drop tons of rewards, map changes, and more.

Modern Warfare 3 had its first big update released on December 6, 2023. It contained brand-new original maps, extra modes, and weapons across different classes. Apart from that, the devs have been rolling out weekly events too, to give players more rewards to grind for. The next event will be a new addition to this list but with a twist of Christmas.

‘CODmas’ Christmas event early details revealed for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Going by the leaked details from a reliable scooper, the ‘CODmas’ event is set to begin later this month. Players of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone will get to face new challenges. Not to mention the updates to maps and attractive rewards.

Talking about the release date of CODmas once again, it’s been seemingly confirmed by the in-game Battle Pass timer. It currently states that the event is scheduled to begin from December 20 onwards. With that being said, now’s the time to mention every major information regarding the Christmas-themed event.

Firstly, CODmas will reveal a new Operator bundle called Tracer Pack: Santa Gnaws. Similar to last year’s bundle in Modern Warfare II, it will contain a Santa-themed playable character. However, it’s the same Operator, Klaus, from the previous game. The major overhaul to his redesigned skin is the inspiration from zombie mode. Here are the other rewards the upcoming bundle is set to offer:

• “Mad Red Menace” Assault Rifle Blueprint (with Horrifying Holiday Tracer effect)
• “Naughty List” SMG Weapon Blueprint (with Horrifying Holiday Tracer effect)
• “Three Brain Rot” Ammo Mod Acquisitions
• Santa’s Undead Army Large Decal
• “Dead Cold” Weapon Charm
• “Checking It Twice” Emblem
• “Jolly Old Elf” Weapon Sticker.

Now talking about maps, they will also receive a makeover based on Christmas. Maps like Shipment and Highrise will be turned into modified versions, namely Shipmas and Hangover. Moreover, some leaked reports have claimed that there will be reskins for modes like Gunfight and Infected.

Furthermore, players will get to have some fun-filled activities as well, thanks to the addition of deadly Snowballs in default loadouts. In fact, there will be a Snowball-based Gunfight mode too. The users will have to find those lying on the ground or on the wall to interact with them. Also, they are going to be a guaranteed one-hit kill option.
