As the countdown for the Game Awards 2023 has begun, Geoff Keighley, the host of the event, took to Twitter about the planning for the event. The host spoke about having world premieres of games during the event. Geoff said, “There will be lots of world premieres, just not putting the words up 40 times.”

This has fans excited to see what games will make their first reveal during The Game Awards 2023. There are many speculated game trailers that fans would like to see make their way to the TGA. Among the famous names, GTA 6 is one that most fans are looking forward to.

After waiting for a decade for the game, players finally are going to be getting a reveal in early December according to Rockstar. Coincidentally, that’s around the time when The Game Awards will be taking place. This increases the chance of the game premiering at the event ten fold.

The hype for the premieres also is present due to the room for speculation left through Keighley’s words. The host wrote, Long but good day for production today. Saw some really special things that I can’t wait to share with you soon.” Additionally, it is salient to note that the awards aren’t the way to only mark new releases. 

Afterall, the highly anticipated DLC for Elden Ring is supposed to be showcased soon. There are many speculations that Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC will be out sometime early next year. But considering the occasion of The Game Awards happening, there is a chance that fans will get to see the DLC there. There are other big announcements as well that might see light at the Game Awards.

Ubisoft and Capcom Games

Capcom is anticipated to reveal a major game before the year concludes. This game is scheduled for a 2024 release, but it won’t be associated with the survival horror franchise. Speculation surrounds the possibility of a Monster Hunter announcement, despite expectations for the series’ 20th-anniversary reveal in March 2024. While the leaker Golem believes that the new Capcom announcement will come in March 2024, many speculate an announcement during TGA 2023.

Ubisoft has been preparing a long list of games that will be released in the coming future. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, will launch on January 18, 2024. Players might get to see a new trailer for the game during TGA 2023. Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, a Feudal Japan-set action RPG with a samurai protagonist, is expected to be released in 2024. The Game Awards 2023 might showcase a trailer, giving fans a taste of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed installment.
