After an immensely successful month-long run, the OG carnival of Fortnite finally came to an end. However, for a lot of fans, the Big Bang event wasn’t ideally what they would have hoped for due to all the server issues the spectators reportedly faced. But now as the ‘nostalgic’ Chapter 4 has met its climax, the tactical-shooter fans are looking forward to what the new era of Fortnite has to offer. With the new sneak peek into Chapter 5 Season 1, it looks like ‘The Boys’ are coming to the Battle Royale island!

Epic Games has an incredibly long list of top collaborations with Fortnite. From a Family Guy collaboration to the Metal Gear Solid skin, the hype around a follow-up to the OG season was surreal. Well, an official trailer for the ‘Battle Royale Underground’ surely didn’t disappoint. In fact, the trailer had fueled the theory of another exciting merger coming to the island very soon. A teaser dropped for Chapter 5 of Fortnite seemingly had a lot of cryptic hints about the exciting lineup ahead in the game. Sharing one of the chunks from the teaser, a social media user pointed out the possibility that all the next set of skins arriving in the Battle Royale were teased as passengers of the passing train. Here’s the post dropped by the user on X.

Among all the shadows that appear in the passing train, fans are convinced they have an answer to the much-awaited ‘The Boys’ collaboration. According to most of the netizens, one of the shadows appearing in the moving train frame looks like a direct hint to one of the members of the Seven from Amazon’s super hit TV series The Boys. Made your guesses? The moving shadow for a lot of fans resembles A-train. A hint of the Speedster in a moving train seems like a smart marketing strategy if true!

While a lot of players might debate the theory to be baseless, some believe this is happening.

Interestingly, back in 2020, Jack Quaid, who plays Hughie on The Boys, told Comicbook, “There’s so many legal things to figure out with that, but I’ve been spending a lot of my time playing Fortnite with Jessie T Usher who plays A-Train, in quarantine,” Quaid told ComicBook.com in an exclusive interview. “That’s what you do…And every time I play, I’m like, ‘This is perfect for our characters, just for skins.’ But yeah, man, it just makes so much sense. It makes so much sense. It needs to be a thing.”

When can the fans expect the highly-anticipated collab with Amazon’s iconic series?

The Boys has been a popular pop culture trend in the community for its dark take on the superhero genre. So, it appeals to all the entertainment enthusiasts who seek innovations in the unorthodox. Well, exactly what giants like Epic Games would want to pitch to their players. Moreover, with the phenomenal reception to The Boys X Call of Duty collaboration, a merger for the Battle Royale island only seems imminent. In case you forgot, the Homelander, Black Noir and Starlight were available in MWII.

Compared to the game’s regular target audience, the Boys’ universe is more realistic. However, people are beginning to believe that Homelander or others from the Seven may eventually make an appearance on Fortnite because of the recent release of skins from the Invincible series, which is similarly notorious for its take on the hero genre and extreme violence. Furthermore, the fourth season of The Boys is slated for release in Summer 2024, which will present Epic Games with the ideal chance. And with the season 4 trailer released today, The Boys fever is high!

So, if the theories are to be trusted, players can expect The Boys’ arrival in the tactical-shooting adventure anywhere around February next year.
