Media outlet CharlieIntel recently dropped the much-anticipated information on ‘X’ that Modern Warfare 3 has just received a new Double XP weekend. The post was captioned, “Double XP, Double Weapon XP, and Double Battle Pass XP are now active in MWIII and Warzone — again! This time, it ends Thursday, Dec 28th at 10am PT.” However, there’s one thing that needs to be noted. Similar to past XP weekends, the current one is applicable for a limited time only.

Having XP points in COD is the best thing for the fans. It was briefly activated but then removed. Thankfully, the devs seem to have added it back into the game now. Using them, players can make faster progression to go through levels and claim various Prestige ranks. Not to mention that Double XP helps gain maximum weapon levels at a quicker rate.

Similar to past installments, the latest FPS premium has also witnessed Double XP weekends since its release. However, the devs haven’t offered any such perk to the players in the last few days. Well, this is good news now for those who were hoping for more XP points to eventually level up faster in different gameplay modes.

Double XP offers a welcome boost for players

The option of having Double XP will also act as a distraction to keep players away from their frustration with certain issues in MW3. For example, the situation of bad spawns is still there and despite the improvements from devs, it looks like the problem hasn’t been resolved. At least, it can be observed in the most popular maps like Rust.

Then, there’s also the issue of guns in Warzone. Some users are not happy with the way guns from last year’s installment MWII are behaving. In the battle royale, they are not performing as intended when it comes to target hit registration as opposed to modes like MP and MWZ. While devs will address these problems, Double XP is a great way to keep players engaged and racking up serious CoD hours.
