Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 released with a massive collection of 16 remastered maps last month. Following the reveal of Season 1, players got more new and original maps for the latest title. However, it seems like fans of the classic era are still not over the nostalgic experience they have had with the remastered maps; now they want more of them.

While the initial line-up for Modern Warfare 3 included maps from 2009’s original MW2, players now want to revisit locations from the first-ever Modern Warfare itself. To be precise, they are keen to dive back into a specific area that became quite popular during the golden days of COD experience, more than a decade ago.

For the uninitiated, Creek was originally introduced as part of the Variety Map Pack DLC for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in 2008 – a year after the game’s release. What makes it unique compared to other Multiplayer locations is that it’s the largest map in the entire game. Speaking of the design, Creek is divided by a ravine with small houses on one side. On the other side, there’s a scattering of farm buildings.

Moreover, it’s got the hills leading to the ravine lined up with sandbags. It is done to give the option of protection to the players from long range weapons. In some places, the ravine is a little narrower in order to provide jumping opportunities to go down a path to the middle area.

Creek also appeared as a supported map in the Old School Mode for COD 4. Although it’s been more than 15 years since it was last seen, some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players now want it back in the latest FPS premium. A user on Reddit platform expressed their wish to see Creek once again in the future.

Thanks to the nostalgia factor, it seems like several fans are still connected to many older maps like Creek. Maybe that’s the sole reason why Call of Duty’s team decided to gift them an entire package of 16 remastered locations from MW2. But it was also a move to celebrate 20 years of the first-person shooter franchise.
