So, finally, something that will go in the favor of the FPS enthusiasts struggling with the issue in MW3. Here’s how you tackle the ‘turtles.’

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was the first installment to popularize the shielding turtles. Basically, a lot of players reportedly used the overpowering riot shields. These players exploiting the loophole were addressed as the ‘turtles.’ The players claim that the biggest disadvantages of the Riot Shields are that they cover an excessive amount of the player’s back, do not slow them down when not in use, and have no damage cap or repercussions when used. However, there’s a simple trick to tackle the reappearing turtles. The flame thrower attachment seems to counter the shields just fine.

However, it is important to note that the attachment would only fit on specific weapons. It fits on all AR, SHG, and some LMGs. For instance, the user used an attachment from the new “JAK” series.
Getting rid of the turtles through the flamethrower is an easy task, but getting the attachment isn’t. Currently, for Season 1, the thrower is only available in the Battle Pass locked in Sector A-14. Thus, to unlock the JAK purifier, there will be a lot of grinding involved.

To unlock the attachment from sector A-14, players will need to have some heavy game time and have enough XP tokens to purchase the deal. According to the Reddit source, the attachment costs around 30 tokens. Unfortunately, there’s no other hack to gain and speed up your A-14 unlock. Although spamming Warzone games or getting through daily/weekly challenges would certainly help your XP count.

After Season 1, players can anticipate the JAK Purifier to either become an Armory Unlock in Modern Warfare 3 or be locked behind a challenge. The Tempus Razorback, ISO. 45, and many other vintage Modern Warfare weapons fit the former description. Nonetheless, it’s more likely because the under-barrel flamethrower is a component of the JAK line of aftermarket parts.
