A certain weapon feature in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has drawn the ire of the CoD community. While MW3 has some amazing weapons, there are some features that aren’t necessarily serving their purpose the way players hope. Especially when it comes to taking shots at the opponents during online encounters. Currently, one of the problematic features found in the game is a flaw in aiming.

Modern Warfare 3 consists of numerous weapon options like SMGs, ARs, and Pistols, among others. Players have been trying to craft the most effective guns to use in Multiplayer. Each gun has got its own stat that affects how it performs in terms of mobility, handling and also accuracy. However, with aiming issues, accuracy seems to have taken a hit.

The realism is something COD devs have focused a lot in recent years. It is quite evident to see from titles like 2019’s rebooted Modern Warfare, its sequel MWII and now the third installment as well. The Redditor slammed various weapon-specific features present in MW3 while calling them “disgusting” as they are affecting the accuracy during matches. The user began by stating, “Having watched TrueGameData’s video on MWIII aim, it’s absolutely disgusting…”

There’s something called ‘strafe reticle shift’ in the game that results in the reticle moving away from the center of the screen. It moves in the direction in which the player is heading instead of remaining fixed. For example, if a player strafes left and also moves their aim towards the left side, the reticle will be far-far away from the center. Thus, the player will be off target by a huge difference.

Redditor MetalingusMikeII urged the devs to “remove the aim sway when aiming and reticle bobbing when strafing!” This is the current problem many other users are also suffering from in Modern Warfare 3.

Hopefully, the devs will try to add normal FPS weapon tuning just like old titles. While MW3 as a game is good, the makers need to fix the annoying issues in it sooner than later. Otherwise, it won’t be long before players start criticizing the installment in the same way as its predecessor.
